REN CI @ AMK
Ren Ci @AMK believes in PCC (Person Centred Care). They empower their residents to make decisions even though they may have physical limitations (Dementia, stroke etc). As much as possible, Ren Ci gives them choices in their daily routine and they don’t emphasize on abiding a strict routine.
This philosophy might be one of the influencing factors on the layout of AMK Nursing home. Instead of wards, they address residential areas as households. Unlike the traditional nursing home setting where it look similar to a hospital, they designed the setting to be homely where there’s common area (Dining and living room and a pastry area where residents can cook whenever they want) and their individual bedrooms.
